Rape and sexual humiliation as Military strategy

Rape is the most traumatic invasion one person can inflict on another. It has long been misconceived as a sex act. Although one of the most forceful physical engagements, often involving the genitals and other body parts, rape is not erotic, not sensual, not pleasurable. It is violence and terror masquerading as passion. The inherent violence and terror of rape finds its most barbaric realization during war, especially under conditions of modern total war. The Civil War general, William Tecumseh Sherman, pioneered total war during his infamous "march to the sea" in 1864. His campaign effectively destroyed his enemy in both physical and spiritual senses; it ended America?s most consequential military engagement. Sherman believed that war should be total, that it should be extended from a conflict between recognized combatants to a conflict involving an enemy?s entire society, including its natural resources, farming and food supply, utilities and other aspects of civilian life. This shift in military strategy only got worse during the 20th century. The first and second World Wars added airplanes and toxic gases and then gas chambers, fire bombings and nuclear weapons to the arsenal of total war. This enhanced weaponry extended Sherman?s model of military engagement from the destruction of the civilian infrastructure to the terrorization of the civilian population. And, in the euphemistic language the so distinguished last century?s bureaucratic denial, the targeted civilian casualties of total war came to be known as "collateral damage". With this kind of devil ideas many of war lords lives and manage to start a new war tomorrow by the name of the god or by the name of the gas, even they sometimes the media take care of the name while they focus to destroy every thing and while they do that many women suffered under its rules ?this had been happened and will continue happens until we forced lords of war to stop this game War rapes are rapes committed by soldiers, other combatants or civilians during armed conflict or war, or during military occupation, distinguished from sexual assaults and rape committed amongst troops in military service. It also covers the situation where human beings are forced into prostitution or sexual slavery by an occupying power, as in the case of the Japanese during World War II. During war and armed conflict, rape is frequently used as means of psychological warfare in order to humiliate the enemy. War rape is often systematic and thorough, and military leaders may actually encourage their soldiers to rape civilians. War rape may occur in a variety of situations, including institutionalised sexual slavery, war rapes associated with specific battles or massacres, and individual or isolated acts of sexual violence. War rape may also include gang rape and rape with objects. When part of a widespread and systematic practice, rape and sexual slavery are now recognized under the Geneva Convention as crimes against humanity and war crimes. Rape is also now recognized as an element of the crime of genocide when committed with the intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a targeted group. However, rape remains widespread in conflict zones. To all who not concern of human rights it may be your turn tomorrow that when armies turns from fight machine to rape icon we have to act globally to stoop this act ...this is the duty of UN and the most respected countries but if all not concern then we have to non stoop action
